De Application server XG (ASXG) is de jongste toevoeging aan het inmiddels zeer complete Applicatie en Desktop virtualisatie portfolio van 2X Software. 2X ApplicationServer XG combineert het beste van applicatie publicatie en virtuele desktop (VDI) management in een alles-in-één platform en integreerd naadloos met vrijwel alle virtualisatie platforms -  waaronder Terminal Services, Hyper-V, VMware ESX en Citrix XenServer. Met 2X ApplicationServer XG publiceert u al uw applicaties en desktops platform onafhankelijk naar PC’s, notebooks, thin clients en naar smartphones en tablets. Wanneer en waarnaar u wilt!

2X ApplicationServer XG maakt het gebruik van een Applicatie of VDI oplossing flexibel, eenvoudig en vooral ook betaalbaar. Dit in tegenstelling tot de vaak omvangrijke Virtualisatie oplossingen die vanwege de kosten, complexiteit en platform afhankelijkheid de adoptie van Virtualisatie op brede schaal tegenhouden. 2X breekt met de ASXG een lans voor organisaties die letten op de ROI en TCO van de desktop infrastructuur, zonder compromissen te sluiten op toegankelijkheid en gebruiksgemak.

Een Virtual Desktop Infrastucture (VDI) is het hosten van geïsoleerde persoonlijke desktops op virtuele machines in het datacenter. Virtuele desktops combineren de voordelen van gedistribueerde desktops op locale machines en de shared remote desktops van Terminal Services. Centralisatie vereenvoudigd het desktop beheer en verlaagd de totale kosten, terwijl isolatie en personalisatie van de virtuele desktop bij benadering de gebruikservaring en prestaties van een lokale desktop biedt.
